REqUESTING ISSUANCE OF A TREASURER'S DEED
;� FOR CERTAIN PROPERTIES FOR WHICH IT HOLDS .

:� F7HEREAS, Pitkin County holds two Certificates of Purchase issued '

z} to it on December 23, 1975, for delinquent taxes due for 1974, from ;

'� Jan R. Ch.ristensen (Certificate No. 131) and Christensen I,easing : '

Co. (Certificate No. 132) and
� �
� WHEREAS, CRS 1973, Section 39-11-142 provides that: r!
a� 1
'� "(1) In all cases where real estate has been struck off to �
i� the County at tax sales and the County has held the �
V Certificate of Sale for three years or more, the Board ;
}! of County Commissioners may apply for and receive a tax '
� deed in like manner as is provided by law in the case of �
' delinquent tax sale certificates held by individuals.
� The Board of County Commissioners, whenever the County �
� becomes entitled to a tax deed, may cause the treasurer
�� to issue, serve and publish notices pursuant to law, of
� application for such tax deed in like manner as in the �
i case of individual certificate holders." �
i,' �� AND, WHEREAS, it is the policy of Pitkin County to request such
� deeds and ase the lands acquired for public purposes, all as �
i

� described in the Board's resolution No. 76-92,

i NO�4, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners �'.
