GRANTING SPECIAL REVIEW APPROVAL FOR THE j

CONSTRUCTION OF A PISTOL RANGE AT THE ;
SOLID WASTE CENTER

WHEREAS, the Pitkin County Sheriff's Department and the Aspen Police �- -
i
i
Department have su6mitted a request to construct a Pistol Range at the County's i
Solid Waste Center, and
WHEREAS, the Pitkin County Planning and Zoning Comnission reviewed the
�
appiication at their regular meeting on June 20, 1979, and recommended your �

approval of the application subject to the condition that it be used for �
_ law enforcement personnel only. �
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners g
i

of Pitkin County, Colorado, hereby approve the special review application
� submitted by the Pitkin County Sheriff's Oepartment and the Aspen Police
n
Department for a Pistol Range at the County's So7id Waste Center subject to
the following conditions:
1. The facility will be used by law enforcement personnei only, and
2. The facility's use will be limited to daytime hours only, except t
!
- during the months of May through October, and
3. That during the months of November through April use will be limited
to the hours commonly used by the landfil7, and
- 4. That at any time the Division of Wildlife may request, because of �
unusual conditions, i.e., hard winters, etc., the range be shut dowh }
' i
for the period of time necessary. �
