RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF i

PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO, ESTA9LISHING THE SALARIES OF '
SAID BOARD MEMBERS ;..

WHERSAS, County Commissioners salaries were Zast es-
tablished in 1977 by the Colorado General Assembly by the �
,� enactment of H.B. 1721, and '

�� WHEREAS, the 1981 Colorado General Assembly, by the
�' adoption of H.B. 1232 established Pitkin County as a Class
- III County for the purpose of fixing salaries of county
r'
�°� officials, and
,�!r, i� WHEREAS, H.B. 1232 fixes the salaries of Class III
�!= County Commissioners at $22,400, and
.;�� WHEREAS, H.B. 1232 gives the Commissioners the author-
� ity to set salaries within fifteen percent above or below
y �� the salary specified in the Act, and
.i�,}r
`'V., WHEREAS, by state statute and Constitution, and the
i Pitkin County Horne Rule Charter, no elected official shall
have his compensation increased nor decreased during his
term of office,
" NOt•7, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Cor.tmissioners of Pitkin County, Co2orado, that it does hereby
establish the annual salary of inembers of the Board of
County Commissioners to be $22,400.00, which rate shall apply
to all members that may be appointed or elected subsequent
to the date of adoption of this resolution.
