A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PITKIN COUNTY COLORADO, .
APPROVINC PRQIECTS AND EXPENDITURES TO BE FtJNDED WITfi �
REVENUES DERIVED FROM THE COUNTY-WIDE ONE-HALF CENT ,;,
USE TAX FOR TRANSPORTATION PURPOSES '.

RECITALS ,
' 1. The Pitkin County Board of Commissioners, Aspen City Council and the Town
Council of Snowmass Village have previously adopted an Intergovernmental Agreement � �
adopting the Comprehensive Valley Transportation Alan.
2. The previous joint resolutions have identified general elements of the Comprehensive
Valley 7ransportation Plan which are eligible for funding.
' 3. The Intergovernmental Agreement specifies that all expenditures and projects to be
�': funded from the County-wide one-half cent use tax shall be agreed upon by all three parties
�� and verified by a resolution adopted by each party. The one-half cent use tax is specifically
dedicated to the purchase of the Denver& Rio Grande Railroad right-of-way.
4. Pitkin County estimates that,at the low end,remaining one-half cent use tax monies
aker the t995 fiscal year is $453,517 and projected 1996 one-half cent use tax revenues
j will be$300,000,for a total available revenue base of$753,517.

j 5. All parties wish to comply with the provisions of the lntergovernmental Agreement
_ � adopted in 1993 concerning the Comprehensive Valtey Transportation Plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Pitkin County,Colorado,that these following projects are approved to be funded through
F the one-half cent use tax for the purchase of the Denver&Rio Grande Railroad Right-of-way
as follows:
1. Environmental Audit of the Right-of-way $ 100,000
; 2. Initial Title Work for the Right-of-way $ 100,000
! 3. Purchase Negotiations and TiNe Consultant $ 25,000
� 4. Administrative Assistance and Contingency $ 24,500
TOTAL $ 249,500
