JOIN7 AGREEMENT

THIS AGREEMEPtT made by and between the Housing Authority of Pitkin County
Colorado, (hereirtafter referred to as "County"), and the Housing 0.utfiority of ,��
-� the City of Aspen, Colorado, (hereinafter referred to as °City"), created pursuant
to Section 29-4-507, et seg., C.R.S. 1973.
WITYESSETH: �
WHEREAS, the City owns and maneges an eighty(80) unit employee housing rental `,

project (hereinafter referred to as the "Project"), and `
WHFREAS, the City no longer maintains an office for the:administration of its
housing program, and
WHEREAS, it is not pa,rt of the management contract to qualify tenants in
,,�' accordance with established guidelines, and �
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City to contract for the services of the �

County for determini�g the qualifications of applicants for the project, and
�� WHEREAS, the County has both the capability and desire to provide such services.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City and County agree as follows: ';?

�'', 1. A. The County will qualify all a plicants for the project in accordance ''

amended from time to time.
B. The County will maintain a waitin9 list for units in the project. ��'
Such list will be the sole source for filling vacancies.
C. The County will collect and account for all application fees and �"-
wi11 turn such monies over to the City upon request within a "�

reasonable time period. ��
D. The County will pay for all direct expenses, including, but not °

limited to, printing of application forms and advertising.
Reimbursement of such ex enses shall be made from the a lication �=�<?'

2, A. The City agrees to pay for the services described in 1 .(A)(B) at ,b
the rate of Twenty ($20.00) Dollars per hour; minimum charge being �;

qualification procedures and practices. Peyment for services and "t.

�`'� 8. Should direct ex enses exceed amounts collected from application

� fees as described in 1 .(�) above, the City agrees to reimburse the

County for the difference between the balance in the application
fee account and actual expenses incurred. =

f,. The City agrees to instruct the management of the project to �;�;
post and maintain a schedule describing the hours when the management �
will be availa b7e for signing leases, accepting rent, and handling
complaints. Such hours of operation shall not be changed without
a ten (10} day notification ot the County.
3. Each party may terminate this Agreement upon thirty (30) day notice

without cause or consideration.
