RECITALS
i. Quality Time Events,in association with the Hard Rock Cafe,hereina8er
t "Applicants,"have applied to the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin :�•.'

County,Colorado,hereina8er"Board,"for approval of a Temporary Use Permit �;.: ;
� to hold a foot race and bike race,pursuant to Section 3-200.30 of the Land Use n
(
Code.
2. The Land Use Code requires that the Board determine that the request for a permit
� is necessary to hold the public event or celebration and that adequate provision
has been made for police supervision,insurance,azea maintenance and public �
parking.
3. The Boazd considered the Applicant's request to hold the events at a public
; meeting on July 24,1996,at which iime the Boazd found that the ApplicanYs
, � request meets the requirements of flie Land Use Code.
�. NOW,THEREFOI2E,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board that it does hereby �
grant a Temporary Use Permit for the Hard Rock&Roll Run&Ride subject ta the
; following conditions: '
i 1) This temporary use permit is issued to Quality Time Events and the Hazd
� Rock Cafe for a foot race and a bike race from ihe Hazd Rock cafe in Aspen
S to the Aspen Highlands Pazking Lot and on to the Maroon Bells and back.

The events will take place from 6:00 a.m.to noon on Sunday,August 4,1996.
2) The applicants shall post a$10,000 bond and indemnification for the event,to
� the satisfaction of the Coanty Attorney,prior to issuance of the temporary use .
� �
permit.
3) The applicants shall provide an insurance certificate to the satisfaction of the
Risk Manager prior to tl�e issuance of the temporary use permit.
