UTE MOUNTAINEER GOLDEN LEAF MINf-MARA.THON

_ 1. The Ute Mountaineer,hereinafter"App(icant,"has applied to the Boazd o£County
Commissioners of Pitkin County,Colorado,hereinafter,"$oard,"for approval of
� a Temporary Use Permit to hold a mini-marathon foot race,pursuant to Section 3- , .
20030 of the Land Use Code.
� 2. The Land Use Code requires that the Board determine that the request for a permit
is necessary to hold the public event or celebration and thai adequate provision
j has been made for police supervision,insurance,area maintenance and public
parking.
� 3. The Boazd considered the Applicant's request to hold the event at a pubiic
. ;
meeting on August 28,1996,at which time the Boazd found that the Applicant's

� request meets the requirements of the Land Use Code.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Boarc!that it does hereby -
grant a Temporary Use Permit for the Ute Mountaineer Golden Leaf Mini-Mazathon
' subject to the following conditions:
]) This temporary use permit is issued to the Ute Mountaineer for a mini-
marathon foot race from Snowmass Village to Aspen along the Govemment
� Trail. The event will take piace from 7:Q0 a.m.to noon on Sunday, �

; September 15,1996.
� 2) The applicant shall provide an insurance certificate to the satisfaction of the
Risk Manager prior to the issuance of the temporary use pe�rnit.
3) The applicant shall provide details on the Safety and Operating Plan to the �
satisfaction of the Emergency Management Coordinator prior to the issuance
of the temporary use permit. •
