TO ADDRESS VIOLATION OF THE AIRPQRT RULES AND REGULATIONS •'�:,;'

RECITALS 7� '
; 1. Pitkin County, a Colorado home-rule county, is the owner,
� sponsor and operator of the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (Sardy
� Field) , (hereinafter called "the airport") located in the
vicinity of Aspen, Colorado, and has the authority to regulate
� commercial activities and to lease and license space at the ,
� Airport, pursuant to, inter alia, C.R.S. 41-4-101 et sea•, 30-35- „
! 202, Tit].e IV of the Pitkin County Code, and Section 8.7 of the
� .
� Pitkin County Home Rule Charter; and
2. Article Fifty (50) , Title Four (IV) of the Pitkin County
Code provides for the en£orcement of all Airpiort Regulations,
• such as: vioZations o£ the airport curfew and noise Ordinance;
! violations of Title IV, Airport Regulations; violations of the
I airport Ground Transportation Rules and Regulations with
j appurtenant documents, and so forth, by an Airport Hearing
' Officer.
� 3. An adjudicatory Hearing procedure was adopted in November of f
_ ( 1985, to assure due process and proper guidance of enforcement
actions at the airport.

4. The Airport Hearing Officer position is a paid-by-the-hour
i position, such fees to be negotia�`ed with the Director of
Aviation.
� S. This position is appointed and serves at the pleasure of the
� Board of County Commissioners.
� &. Mr. Lance Webez, having served from his initial appointmenL
jon April 28, 1986, has continued his satisfactory services even
` after the expiration of his initial two-year term.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED SY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ��
PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO: .�.

Mr. Lance Weber be reappointed as the airport hearing officer to '
address those violations oE the airport rules and regulations as
may occur at and on the property of the Aspen/Pitkin County
Airport (Sardy Field) , to serve at the pleasure of the Board of ;?�
County Commissioners.

Mr. Weber's previous actions as Airport Hearing officer since the
expiration of his initial appointment through the present are •
hereby ratified. �'
