Subject to its otlier provisions,flie term of the Contract shail be from ist day of January,1946,
tluough the 31st day of December,1996.
Secrion I.County 5hall:
• 1, Couuty agrees to purchase and Contractor agrees to fmvish the following services
hereimafter referred to as"Purchased Sen+ices":
To support the operadons of the Volunteer Action Center(VAC)in order to
facilitate volunteer recniitment and placement. �
_ 2. County agrees to purchase these services for tl�e following targeted groups:

i The commuuity of Pit!!an Couuty.

i3. County agrees to pay Contractor cash of$1,672 maximum. The County wil[pay
, i contractor iu quarterIy payments on the last day of March, June, September, and
� December. T1ze contractor will provide County with a first quarter report identifymg
the criteria that will be used to establish performance standards. These performauce
criteria will be evaluated against actual service numbers m a written repoK by the
contractor to be submitted to the County before the second and fourtl� quarter
paymeirts.

income individuals.

Contract or by conditioas created il�ereby,or based upon any violatious of auy statute,
ordivance,or regulation and fhe defense of any such claims or actions;maintain
ius�vance in such types and amounts as are necessary to Snd tiris indemuity. To find

contractor miderstands that no County official or employee,other tUa��the$oard of
County Commissioners acting as a body at a Board meetiug,l�as authority to enter iuto ,
a coutract or to modify the tenns of tLis contract ou behaif of die County. Any such �
contract or modification to tliis coutract must be iv writing and be executed by the

5. In 1he event tivs Covtract is teiminated, final pa}went to the Coutractor may be
- widilield at the discretion of die County uutil fioal audit. Incorrect payments to d�e
Contractor due to omission, error,fraud, or defalcation shall be recovered from dte
Contractor by deduction from subseque�u paymeuts under dus Coutract or other ��.
contracts between tt�e County and tl�e Coutractor,or by the County as a debt due to
tUe County. 11�e waiver of auy violatiou shall not Ue construed as a waiver of auy
other or subsequent violation oftkis CoutracY or appropriate statutes or regulations.
