� RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF PI7KIN COUNTY, COLORADO
REGARDING THE USFS DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT
ON LITTLE ANNIE SKI AREA PROPOSAL
Resolution No. 81 - 15
- � WHEREAS, in January of 1981, the Forest Service transmitted the Draft
EIS on Little Annie proposed ski area to Pitkin County for review and
comnent, and
WNEREAS, a thorough evaluation of the Draft EIS was conducted and tech-
r nicai response prepared by County offices in the areas of legal, planning �
� policies, fiscal, socio-economic, transportation, environmental health and �

safety, and environmental - natural, and �
WHEREAS, this technical respanse was submitted to and evaluated by the
Board of County Commissioners in a meeting held on March 10, 1981. �
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
- Pitkin County that the technical response document prepared on behalf of F_
#� � Pitkin County, dated March 6, 1981, in response to the USFS Draft EIS on
� � Little Annie proposed ski area, is hereby adopted as the official comment of �.�

the Board of County Commissioners and that such cortment to be r"orwarded to �
appropriate Forest Service officials no later than March 16, 1981, S:OO p.m. "
BE IT FURTHER RESQLVED by the Board of County Comnissioners of Pitkin
County that the Draft EIS does not analyze the alternatives to the proposed �;:
action set forth in the USfS Memorandum of Understandirtg with Pitkin County, -
� nor does the Draft EIS analyze "all reasonable alternatives" as required by =
��
NEPA.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin
County that the Draft EIS is deficient in its assessment of off-site impacts_
to the County which were to be addressed in the EIS as �er Apoendix C "Site
Specific Study and Environmentai Statement �utline" of the USFS Memorandum �
of Understanding with Pitkin County.
