� APPLICATION BY TtIE ASPEN SKIING CORPORATION i

FOR A REPLACEMENT LIFT SERVING BEGINNEft TERRAIN i.
IN THE BASE AREA AT BUTTERMILK SKI AREA � •

WHEREAS, the Aspen Skiing Corporation has filed an application for I
�- replacement of two beginner lifts in the base area at Buttermilk Ski Area i
with a double chairlift of simitar capacity, and �
_, WHEREAS, said application also requests approval of expansion of base �,
area beginner terrain by approximately six acres, and associated snow-making i
. �
capacity, and .
WHEREAS, the site of the proposed lift replacement and terrain expansion �
is subject to AF- zoning, where ski lifts and necessary related facilities
-- may be permitted by special review, and �
� 61HEREAS, the Pitkin County Planning and Zoning Comnission considered the ��
� application at a reguTar meeting on January 2i, 1987, and recomnended by r
- motion approval of the application conditioned on compliance by the applicant �
with applicable noise standards, and �
WNEREAS, the Pitkin County Board of County Comnissioners conducted a •-;
�
public hearing on the application at their regular meeting on htarch 9, 1981. �
�
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Pitkin County, Colorado, that approval of said lift replacement is granted. -

Said approva7 is conditioned on continued compliance by the applicant
with applicable noise standards to the satisfactinn of the County Environ- :
mental Health Office. �
