RESOLUTION OF PITKIN COUNTY AND THE
HOUSING AUTHORITY OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO
- APPOINTING OFFICIAL CUSTODIANS OF FUNDS �r
RESOLUTION R 81- 90 3

WHEREAS, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Federal ''i� �
' Savings & Loan Insurance Corporation (FSLIC) insure deposits of up to � •i
$100,000 at participating institutions, and �� '
WHEREAS, each official custodian of county or housing authority %
_ funds is separately insured for deposits up to $100,000, and �

WHEREAS, Colorado Revised Statutes, 1973, 30-10-708 and 29-4-20 �s�
� authorize the board of commissioners to appoint one or more custodians of �;4
. county and housing authority funds, respectively, and �E
WHEREAS, appointing two official custodians will double the
� amount of county and housing authority deposits that will be insured by
FDIC and FSLIC, and �
WHEREAS, adequate control of the funds can be maintained with
� two custodians;

NOW, TNEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the board of commissioners '�
of Pitkin County and of the Housing Authority of Pitkin County that

�. the county finance director and chief deputy treasurer are hereby separately z�
appointed as custodians of the funds of the county and authority. `n

held October 13, 1981.
