� THIS AGREEbfENT is entered into as of January 1, 1981 ;
between the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County and ;
the t�fountain Valley Developmental Services. t
t9HEREAS, Mountain Valley Developmental Services is � '
- � responsible for providing services to Developmentally Delayed per- °
sons of all ages, and �
�
WHEREAS, the Mountain Valley Developmental Services has
opened the Aspen Developmental Center to better serve Pitkin j
County, and '
� IVHEREAS, each of the above parties desire jointly to �
, have these services available for qualifying citizens of Pitkin
County, and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate for the Board of County
� Commissioners of Pitkin County to allocate local funding for local
� match of State and Federal monies for the purposed of purchasing �
� + services from the Mountain Valley Developmental Services.

� :z 1. The contract shall be effective for tfie calendar �
� ; year of 1981 and any extension or rene�al thereof _
shall be renegotiated at budAet time, tliat is �
:; prior to September 30, 1981.
�:s: 2. MVDS will provide educational services to all eli'- �
=a gible handicapped and delayed individuals residing
in Pitkin County (.who are not serviceable by �
appropriate school di.stri.ct� for a maximum of �
$3,500.00 in local match from Pitkin County during '
- Calendar Year 1981. �

3. The unit of service for billing purposed shall be
defined as the enrolled day as defined by the
Department of Institutions.

4. The fee to Pitkin County for this unit of service
shall be $2.30/client/day.
S. MVDS shall bill Pitkin County on a quarterly basis, I
reflecting number of enrolled days per client
and programs attended. �

6. Pitkin County agrees to pay P1VD5 following review
and acceptance of billing by the Human Resources i j
Coordinator on a quarterly basis. � ;

' 7. It is likewise agreed that services for all eligible j
• clients will continue throughout Calendar Year 1981 ;
but payment will not exceed $3,500.00. � ' �

8. This agreement is contingent upon continuing State ;
and Federal Funding after July 1, 1981. � I

_ 9. This contract may be canceled and terminated by either I
- party, but the party desiring to terminate or cancel �
must give written notice thirty (30) days prior to i �
the date of cancellation. j
10. By subscribing to this Agreement, the parties represent �
to each other that they have hereto for acquired the
' necessary approval and authorization to enter into this
• ' Agreement. .
11. Mountain Valley agrees to imdemnify and hold the County �
harmless for any and all claims for loss or damage �
- arising from the provision of the services herein i
contracted for. `�
