- 3. The commercial kennel use predates the establishment of the �
provision in the Pitkin County Land Use Code which requires
� "special review use permits" for• commercial kennel operations �r
within the AFR-10 zone district (the district within which the
subject property is located) . Therefore, this use qualifies as �
"leqal non-conPorming" under the Code. i
•� 4. The applicant was issued a "red tag" on July 29, 1943 for � �

+ i, operating a commercial kennel without the appropriate "Special Use �` � '.

- Permit". The basis of the red tag was that the kennel operation was

believed to have been inactive for a period of more than 12 months. ,, f .�
Section 6-206 of the Pitkin County Land Use Code indicates that in � 'f!j
