1. Pitkin County, a Colorado home-rule county, ia the owner, :k'
aponaor and operator of the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (Sardy �r �=
'� Field) , located in the vicinity of Aspen, Colorado, and has the s:>���::; '
� authority to regulate commercial activities and to lease and ,.�;.`'i :
' license space at the Airport, purauant to, inter alia, C.R.S. 41- '�t`�' •
; 4-101 et sev•, 30-35-202, Title IV of the Pitkin County Code, and �i�.
Section 8.7 af the Pitkin County Home RuZe Charter; and
• 2. The County desires to extend the License & Use Agreement �:"
, with APCOA, Inc. (airport paid parking) as previous Licensee or ��`�
Permittee in accordance with the Term/Renewal atipulations of the °,,
' current Agreement. The Agreement ia for the public paid parking •;�?
facilitiea serving the air-carrier terniinal at the Airport �.
. , consisting of approximately 375 parking apacea. The term of the
� Agreement ahall be from January'4, 1996, and terminating on ?�

• ! In accordance with paragraph 2., TERM/RENEWAL, of the reference,
this letter is aent to notify APCOA that the Board of County
Commissioners•(BOCC) of Pitkin County, Colorado, by unanimous vote,
, grants its approvaZ to exten@ the current Agreement commencing �
January 4, 1996, and ending January 3, 1998. �

� It is the County's understanding that APCOA has requested a rate �
change for both the long and ahort term parking lots, and that the
newly requeated rate change will be an addendum to paragraph 9. �
RATES. The rate increases may officially take effect on the first
i day o£ this two-year extension. There have been no other specific
• � ! changes to the reference requested by APCOA at this time.
Paragraph 3., LICENSE FEES, subparagraph b. (second year) for the .
two-year extension of the Agreement shall read in an identical ,

With this approval for the extension, APCOA acknowledges paragraph 1 �;,'

standards of first�class commerczal operators throughout the IInited
States". Continued attention and support in thia area, as well as !��r
the resolution of complaints should they occur, is required under .�., f ,
