Cooperative Exteneion programe which include the conduct of 8xtenaion piograme (
and diaeemination of relevant research find3nge in agr3culture and related ,�1: .:
- fielde, home and family living, and 4-H and youth in the county; and -
WHEREAS, Exteneion ie authorized by State and Faderal law to conduct ,�`j` .
,�;i Cooperative Extension aducational programa in the State of Colorado; and `�

based on advice from a Countiea Extenaion Advieory Coaanittee; and ` �

and secretarial pereonnel coneietent with the provieione of 8xhibit A attached

�, � applicable amount of the profeesional staff funding baeed on a formula �'
�(' developed and updated annually, approved by the State Hoard of Agriculture, to
;: �� �provide for increaeed funding to match the Long Appropriations Bill ae � .
determined by the state Legielature. '

(f) Pitkin County agrees to submit to the Director of Colorado �;,
Cooperative Exteneion a copy of the county budget approved for itema 1(aj and
(c) above. The hudget will be certified as true at�d correct by the
responeible county offiaer and will be eubmitted prior to the beginning of
each calendar year.

; Section 3. Exteneion and Countiee mutuallv aaree: C �
(a) To place in the county, and eupporC in accord with this HOII, 2.5
• FTE profeeaional etaff.
(b) That the pereonnel coete of thie staff (Section 3(a)) will be
provided by the partiee ae described above. Thie agreement will in no way �
" limit any of the partiee at their eole discretion from employing additional i,
profeseional or paraprofeseional pereonnel in the countiee Extension offices
at their own expenee.
(c) To notify the other part in writiag at leaet eixty (60) daye prior ,i
. to any expected major chanqe in prograia which would affect the proEeesional
pereonnel or support of the program. �
(d) Co2orado State IIniveraity Cooperative Extension, ae a publicly g
funded edacational organization, operates in compliance with the Civil Righte �
Act of 1964, Title I% of the �ducation hmendmente of 1972, and the
� Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and ae auch, all programs, activitiee and
�ployment opportunitiee are available without regard to race, color, national
� origin, aex, religion, age or disability.
