y.. WHEREAS, effective January 1, 1953 the salaries for the Board of

� County Cammissioners were set by statute at $22,40D.00 per year, and
�� WHEREAS, effecCive January I, 1983 the salaries of the Assessor, ` :

r [dHEREAS, Pitkin County has since elected to withdraw from the

^� Social Security Program and provide alternative benefits to full time �
�;J permanent County employees, including elected officials, effective January �

d: WFIEREAS, on December 16, I982 the salaries of all full time

, � permanent County employees were reduced hy 6.7X (the amount previously

contributed to Social Security) to fund the replacement benefits. `,�'
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY CONIMISSIONERS
� OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO that the salaries of all elected officials are �
accordingly reduced by 6 JY effective December lb, 1982 and such reduction

� wi11 thereafter be applied to the funding of an alternative benefits program
'� in lieu of contributions of the Social Security Program.
