WHEREAS, the Pitkin County PTanning and Zoning Commission is authorized
� to periodically review, revise, amend and extend in greater detail components
��� of the Comprehensive Plan for Pitkin County, and
� WHEREAS, the Pitkin County Planning and Zoning Comnission is presently
� considering the revision of the 1974 Buttermilk Area Amendment to the 1966
�
� Aspen Area General Plan, and
�
�� WHEREAS, the boundaries of the Buttermiik Area Amendment are being
extended to encompass land contiguous with State Highway 82 between Brush
� � ..� �.`,� 5 .
;� Creek Road and the Aspen city limits, and �

� WHEREAS, the revised Plan for the Buttermilk area will be known as the � _
1� State Highway 82 Corridor Master P7an, and
� WHEREAS, the Pitkin County Pianning and Zoning Commission held a public
meeting on Fe6ruary 15, 1983 to discuss land use issues affecting the State
' Highway 82 Corridor, and at�
WHEREAS, the Pitkin County Planning and Zoning Commission held a public �;
meeting on Apri7 19, 1983 to develop goals and objectives for the State Highway �
� �
82 Corridor Master Plan, and '�
� WHEREAS, after pubiic notice was given, the Pitkin Cour+ty P7anning and
� Zoning Cortenission held a public hearing to consider goaTs and objectives for -
the State Highway 82 Corridor Plan on May 3, 1983 and on May 17, 1983, and
WHEREAS, the proposed goals and objectives have been recommended by the
� Pitkin County Planning and Zoning Commission to the Pitkin County Board of '
Commissioners for their consideration and endorsement at a public hearing �:_'?�;:'> �:�
on ,lune 13, 1983, and

, WHEREAS, the goals and objectives will be subsequently returned to the
Planning and Zoning Commission for their formal adoption at a public hearing
as a part of the ongoing public planning process associated with developing .
a new Plan for the State Highway 82 corridor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of `
