4;y�':;: WHEREAS, the Music Associates of Aspen (MAA) has requested

�"` Aspen water system and the Aspen Metro Sanitation District sewer

•��= WHEREAS, the Pitkin County Planning and Zoning Commission did

� .�.,' review the MAA application at their regular meeting on July 5,

1983 and did recommend approval of same, subject to various conditions,

�`ec`%"- WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County,

L>;;: Colorady did review the MAA application at a duly noticed public

hearing on August 8, 1983, at which time evidence and testimony ,

- were presented with respect to same. y
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commis-

�"`` sioners of Pitkin County, Colorado that it does hereby grant •

,' special review approval to the Music Associates of Aspen for the

f'-'� extension of water and sewer systems to the Aspen Music School

' �` campus on Castle Creek Road, subject to the following conditions: � :

�*.';`s': 1. The applicant will comply with the air and water quality
� >� impact mitigation techniques suggested by the Environ- ��
��, _; mental Health Department to control construction impacts
r,.,.< and will seed disturbed areas after construction to �
�.3' control long term fugitive dust problems. °,,�`

�� 2. The applicant will comply with the requirements for �,;.,
�;�.� obtaining a road cut permit from the Engineering Depart- � ..-:".,
�=*•��' ment.

'�; 3. The applicant will obtain permission from the BLM if it
is found that either the water on the sewer system
extension requires a crossing of land owned by that
aqency.
t 4. The applicant will adhere to the recommendations for
soil stability included in the letter from Nick Lampiris
to John Doremus dated June 30, 1983. P&Z will be given
an opportunity to review the final alignment and construction
methodology for the utility extensions to ensure that
the impacts of crossing the stream and steep slopes are
``N mitigated.
Y 5. Pitkin County will consider the possibility of providing
a trail along the shoulder of Castle Creek Road a�ter it
