M�RE'�AS, Mountain Valley is responsible for pmviding services

:;� to developmentally delayed persons of all ages, and

� WHEE2FAS, Mountain Valley has opened the Aspen Developnental

�K Center to better serve Pitkin County, and
r�! Wf�REAS, each of the above parties desire joi.ntly to have

these services available for qualifying citizens of Pitkin County,

�" �4t�zFAS, it is appropriate for the County Board to allocate local

1. The contract shall be effective for the calendar year of 1983.
�, 2. P�fountain Valley will provide educational services to all
b�.� eligible handicapped and delayed individuals residing in
� Pitkin County (who are not serviceable by appropriate
�" school district) for a maxiimun of �2,000.00 in loca.l match "•
�Y fran the County Board during Calendar year 1983. �

•� 3. The unit of service for billing purposes sha11 be defined � :-
F' � as the enrolled day as defined by the Department of ��
' • _._ Institutions.
�s 4. The fee to the County Board for this unit of service shall �`
be $2.30/ client/day.

5. Mountain Va11ey sha11 bill the County Board, reflecting
{`� number of enrolled days per client and programs attended.

7. It i.s li.ke�vise agreed that services for all eligible clients �

not exceed $2,000.00.
8. This agreement is contingent upon continuing State and Federal
funding after July 1, 1983.

9. This contract may be canceled and texminated by either party,
but the party desiring to terminate or cancel must give
` written notice thirty (30) days prior to tlie date of cancel-
lation.

10. By subscribi.ng to this Agree�r�ent, the parties represent

12. The Parties agree that the Pitkin County Procurement Code �;`
�� ("Cod2") applies to this a�reenent. Pursuant to the Code,
�i the County Board may conduct an audit of Mountain Valley's
•'S`` accounting systems, books, and records which relate to the
�*• perfoanance of this agreenent. (Code 3-802). Specific
jr. reference is also made, as requi.red by the Code, to 7-205,

�� PROI�IBITION AGAINST GRAT[JITIES AI�ID KICKBAC&S, and 7-206,
�`�` PROHIBITION AGAINST OONPINGENI'FEES, which provisions are
v� applicaUle to this agreanent.
