� has already been publicly discredited by most major defense analysts, including
Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger; and

� WE call upon our brothers and sisters throughout the world to join with
` '� us in the western U.S. and unite against the terrible wrong that is
about to be visited upon our soils, the MX missile.

silent to speak out now.

. � WE call upon the farmers, ranchers, loggers, and miners; those who take

;';��'���:i Western Solidarity is an eight-state coalition made up •
``�� - of Western states that have banned together to "oppose and
�"";�� � defeat the MX." Formed in December of 1962, Western Solidarity
j'�',:':" is also a "mutual aid pact" between 30 local and state anti- �
�'�:'�:�` nuclear and peace organizations from Idaho, Wyoming, Montana,
1�-y':�� South Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah and Nevada. The
- '�';�`�� affiliated organizations (the list is still growing) have not
��L�`: only endorsed Western Solidarity, but have pledged their :
� financial and organizational support by electing a represen-
• tative to the Steering Committee of Western Solidarity. There ;
are 14 members of the Western Solidarity Steering Committee _'
�"�'" who have made policy decisions for the organizations. They
