� WHEREAS, the Urban Maes Transportation Administration (UMTA) is able -
;'� to approve grants for planning projects under Section 8 of the Urban Mass
Transportation Act of 1964 as amended, and ��
'� WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Highways (CDA) is authorized to �

�: administer the Section 8 program in the State of Colorado, and +
�' WHEREAS, the CDH is currently calling for Section 8 requests for
1985, and � ,
WHEREAS, Pitkin Count currentl has a y
y y grant to produce a new Transit
- Development Program, and �
WHEREAS, it is esCimated that the expense nf producing a new TDP �

will exceed the amount of the currene grant. ��

authorized to execute and file an application on behalf of Pitkin County �`

2. The County Manager or his designee is authorized to furnish such

additional information as the United States Department of Transportation,
the Colorado Department of Highways or related agencies may require in
connection wiCh this project.
