j WH�EAS, the Pitkin County Airport Authority (here�fte�"appl� 4

• cant") has requested the following amendments to the�1984 Airport
Master Plan: �
,', • Deletion of the proposed water Eeature in front of the main
,j tezminal area.
;� • Expansion of the parking lot in front of the main terminal '
from 68 spaces to 94 spaces,
�'; • The existing entrance into the airport will be retained and �-
�=,� wiZl wntinue to be the only eretrance into the airport until �
such time as funds are available and State Highway 82 alignment �
`;� studies are completed.

-� WHBRSAS, a public hearing was held before the Board of County �

.�� Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado (hereinafter °BOatd"} at
ya i
� their regular meeting on Januacy 13, 1985, at which time the applicant �
�.:;y presented testimony showing that Airport funding is limited and ;
�,-� requires that planned improvements be modified to reflect the 2imited
•.y �
' �`� funds available; and
�=� WHERBAS, the Board finds that the proposed changes to the 1984
::�
� Airport Master Plan do not significantly alter the approved site plan.
a NOFT, TH�SFORS, BS TP RESOLVED by the Board that it does hereby
� grant the requested ameadments to the 1984 Airport Master Plan subject z
to the following conditions: �

� , I. The north parking lot in front of the main terminal shall. be
,! sized to accommodate 94 cars and shall be paved.
,''� 2. Landscaping shall be provi8ed as presented by the applicant
_'� on January 13, 1986. If sufficient funds are not available,
the Airport may provide for the phasing of landscape improve- _
`� ments.
';� _
;;`; 3. Taxis and limousines shall cue in parallel lanes and will be ,
called to provide curb service as needed. A berm shall be
maintained to separate the queuing lanes from the terminal
;:'.;'� loop road. .
4. The existing loop road and gravel parking lot (Rocky Mountain
`�`� Lot) in front of the terminal area will remain until Airport
.�=-�^., expansion and funds allow for the alignment as approved in
�:;;� the 1984 Airport Master Plan Amendment. These ateas will be
x��; convetted to landscaped open space in the future as outlined
'��' in the Master Plan.
