- WH$REAS, the Colorado Department of Highways, using �-

Bridge, a County bridge, across the Roaring Fork River in Pitkin �
�V County, Colorado; and r_ '

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin •
County, which has the statutory responsibility to maintain County
'� roads and bridges, has determined that it is in the best interests

, of the residents and visitors to Pitkin County to accept these

funds and replace the Gerbaz Bridge; and ..
- WHEREAS, as a condition of local acceptance of these •

f;:,�s Eunds, the County is required to provide a 20� share of the •
replacement costs and to enter into a contract with the State
=.`` setting out the texzns, conditions and limitations of tha grant of
