.�,si WHEREAS, Pitkin County has for over a decade been a leader in
the nation in its efforts to preserve the beauty of our i �
environment, and �'��
WHEREAS, clean air is an essential part of what draws residents
; and visitors alike to Pitkin County, and
i Wi�REAS, the Aspen City Council wishes to encourage a community '`� ' �
effort to try, through voluntary efforts, to reduce air �' •�''"

i pollution as much as possible, and therefore is
i declaring Dec. 15- Dec. 21, 1986 to be "Clean Air •�` '

' Wi�REAS, the County Commissioners wish to encourage residents
and visitors to become aware of ways in which they can
reduce pollution by driving less, walking and taking ' �
the bus more, and using Pireplaces and stoves less, and �• �

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSION-
