� implement construction of the "Pitkin County Airport - Site � ' ,

� NOW, THEREFORE, it havfng been mutually aqreed between the �•

The Contractor agrees to provide the professional engineer- ��

including consultation, coordination, preconstruction conferences i
and meetings, review shop drawings, materials and construction
acceptance sampling and testing, construction observation and ii��._.' '
inspections, surveys and control staking, preparation of con-
1 struction contractor's compliance requirements, contract adminis-
tration and such other engineering services as required and as

1 may be directed by the County. The term "construction, observa- �• ••

; tion and inspections" does not in any way relate to a duty of y' .

either the County or the Contractor to pass upon or make recom- `'
mendations with tegard to saf ety procedures, barriers or anything
of that nature with regard to the agents or employees of any con- �:., i

person with regard to injury to personal property o= persons �`
resulting from the construction of said Project. ,��',
1.1 Coordination �
• The Contractor shall serve as the County's professional ��,� -
engineering representative in those portions of the program to
which this Amendment applies and will give consultation and � �
advice to the County during the performance of his services. The
Contractor shall coordinate the project with the County, FAA and

other involved agencies and individuals. The Contractor shall

� attend such conferences and meetings that may be requested and " .

a. The Contractor shall be available to the County for
consultations and assistance with special tests, monitoring, work
details, managements. financial matters, permits, expert testS-
-, mony or other related system requirements or problems.

projects prior to expiration of the guarantee periods and
