RESOLIITION OF THE BOARD
OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PITRIN CAUNTY, COLORADO
TO FILL A VACANCY ON THE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS ON TfiE ASPEN FIRE DISTRICT

WHEREAS, the Aspen Fire District is a Special District, �`t'
subject to the applicable requirements of the Special District `.:�: .
Act, C.R.S. 32-1-101 et sea•; and �':;�
WHEREAS, there currently exists a vacancy on the Board of
Directors of the Aspen Fire District; and
WHEREAS, C.R.S. 32-1-905(2) , specifies that any vacancy on
the Board shall be filled by appointment by the remaining "
'?,� directors, the appointee to serve until the next regular election _
at which time the vacancy shall be filled by election for any �
:� cemaining unexpired portion of the term; and �
`" ;.;.� WHEREAS, the statute further pronides that if the Board
fails, neglects, or refuses to fill any vacancy within 60 days
:,,-�, after such vacancy occurs, the Board of County Commissioners
shall fill such vacancy; and

sa WHEREAS, the current vacancy on the Board of Directors of
�;;:� the Aspen Fire District has existed f or more than sixty days.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BpARD OF COUNTY
�� COMMISSIONERS OF PITRIN COUNTY, CpLORADO, that �� Lt�SDE�1 ;,
�2 of ASP�v , Colorado is hereby designated to fill the
'�� existing vacancy on the Board of Directors of the Aspen Fire
District, to serve until the next regular election, at which time
�-�'�i, the vacancy shall be filled by election for any remainin
