APPROVING AND ADOPTING A CONTRACT WITH TAE .
FIRM OF INTEGRATED ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS, LTD. �
FOR DESIGN AND CONSULTING SERVICES FOR
REPLACEMENT OF THE GERBAZ SRIDGE

WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Highways, using funds
made available by the Federal government, has allocated the sum
of $294,600 as the 808 share of the replacement of the Gerbaz
" Bridge over the Roaring Fork River, a County bridge, in Pitkin (��
County, Colorado; and ��

.� WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, 4
;;� which has the statutory responsibility to maintain County roads ;�',;
and bridges, has determined that it is in the best interests of

7: ,� the residents and visitors to Pitkin County to repair or replace
�$ the Gerbaz Bridge over the Roaring Fork River; and

€S WHEREAS, a two-stage, "short-list" consultant selection
r�! process was held in accordance with the Pitkin County Procurement
Code and Regulations, and the firm of Integrated Engineering
•� Consultants, Ltd, of Aspen, Colorado was selected; and _
��� WHEREAS, the County has previously budgeted funds to provide
�" the local matching share for the design and construction of this
;�; project; and

} WAEREAS, the County has the statutory authority pursuant to,
.��` inter alia, 1973, C.R.S. 43-2-207, 43-2-208 and 43-2-144, to
expend funds for the replacement of County bridges and to
.��.�'. contract with integrated Enqineering Consultants, Ltd. for the . .
,y, replacement of a County bridqe;
