Wf�.REAS, pursuant to Section 5-510.5(a) (1) of the Land Use

: of residential quota system development applications; and �

� WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 4-6(a) and 17-2.1 of the Land
I Use Code, subdivision and rezoning applications which require the �
; receipt of a growth management allotment may be submitted
simultaneously with the application for a growth management
'� allotment; and
; WHEREAS, Pitkin County is currently in the process of
� considering amendments to the Land Use Code intended to implement
j the recommendations of the Down Valley Comprehensive Plan; and

i Wf�:REAS, it is anticipated that the residential quota system
i
� will be amended to create separate Down Valley and Metro Area
� competitions; and
i i..
; WHEREAS, the Board finds that it will be in the best
' interests of the community to alter this year's date for submis- (

� sion of residential quota system applications until afteX the new �; ';;-;. � .

regulations have been but into place. �;
