COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO, 'z"
APPRC�VIt3G AND ADOPTING A CONTRACT WITH THE
FIRM OF BANNER ASSOCIATES, INC.,
GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO, FOR �
, DESIGN AND CONSULTING ENGINEERING SERVICES �,
FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE THOMASVILLE BRIDGE

! WAEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, t
which has the statutory responsibility for the maintenance of �. :
•.�,.� County roads and bridges, has dete�mined that it is in the best i
interest of the residents and visitors to Pitkin County to 4
=�:� replace the Thomasville Bridge; and
�� i:�y� WHEREAS the Count has received a �
, y grant through Colorado
Counties, Inc, in the amount of $329,600 as the 8U8 sha�e of the
;:=� replacement of the Thomasville Bridge, a County bridge across the , �
Fcyingpan Rivei in Pitkin County, Colorado, and the County has
`�:;; budgeted the amount of $82,400 as the County's 208 share and
-`'. related costs; and
,^ta WHEREAS, Pitkin County conducted a competitive selection
'<':-� process for design and consulting engineering services for the
' referenced Project and the £irm of sanner Assoc., Inc., has been
`:� cecommended by the Selection Committee as the lowest responsible �
„��i and responsive proposer; and
• WHEREAS, the County has the statutory authority pursuant �
,�.,� intet alia, 1973 C.R.S. 43-2-207, 43-2-208, and 43-2-144, to
'�''� expend road funds faz the constcuction, tepair and replacement of
County roads and bridges and to enter into contracts for the
same;
.i;� NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County �:
_�; Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado: �

That a County standard form construction design consultant
- contract between Banner Associates, Inc. and Pitkin County in the
,�,� amount of $21,670 be approved and adopted, and the Chairman is
; hereby authocized and dizected to execute the contract and such
-' other related documents as may be necessary to complete this �.,:`;;�;,:'

That the Road and Bridge Department is authorized to spend
� up to $21,670 to complete the design and engineering consulting r:
