TO PERMIT LIMITfiD CURFEW fiXfiMPTIONS FOR �7:' �_

Y'1'- WAERfiAS, the Snowmass Balloon Festival has requested i`. "

��; permission to use the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport runway for

balloon departures of its participants from 0530 hours until 0645 j�'. ��
.� ��-

��; hours local time on July 10, 1987; and �,
�� WHERfiAS, the request, which has been coordinated with .
� the FAA, is to allow the Balloon Cross Country event to launch at �
��
;� the Airport for safety considerations. All balloons and equip- _
:;z� ment will be off of the runway and will have obtained an altitude
� of 3,000 feet above the Airport by 0700 hours to permit normal
� Airport opening and operations; and
� WHBRSAS, the Balloon Festival has made an additional
i:'�� request for permission to allow the departure of the Pitkin
County Air Rescue Super Cub at 0600 hours on July 10, 11, 12, .
1987. The Super Cub will be used as a safety aircraft for all
the Balloon Festival events; and :` ;
.� WHERSAS, these requests are reasonable and are in the
� 'a :
best interests of the welfare of the community; S'
