'" WHEREAS, on May 1, 1987, the Aspen/Pitkin Planning Office
';:,:-� received two Lodge Development Growth Management applications;
'_� and .
`r;v� Wf�:REAS, these applications included the Aspen Highlands
!`*�°,�� Skiing Corporation application for 20 lodge units at the base of ,
,..
the Highlands ski area and an application from Jim and Sharon
'�
'� Mollica for the 20 person 5 room "Annies" hut located on the
'-J,��
.I`y� Urschel Estate on top of Aspen Mountain; and
WHEREAS, on June 30, 1987, the Pitkin County Planning and
Zoning Commission (hereinafter "Commission") held a duly noticed
public hearing pursuant Section 5-510.7(a) (3) of the Pitkin '
:� County Land Use Code which requires a public hearing to be held
� in order to review growth management applications; and �
,.'� WHEREAS, at the above referenced hearing, the Commission �':.::.- •
.'� reviewed the two growth management applications and recommended
� �.,
;� that a totial score of 35.4 points be awarded to the Aspen :±'•
� � �.
..r� Highland Skiing Corporation applicati.on and that a total score of !,t+?.��

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County �.

that it does herehy grant an allocation of 20 units to the Aspen
� `� Highland Skiing Corporation, subject to those requirements set

out by the Board in granting General Submission approval to the

���%� project as outlined in the Board's Resolution No. 86-39; and

WAEREAS, the Aspen Highlands Skiinq Corporation has also
-k,� requested Special Review approval to add a 784 square foot
'�<`•-:� addition to the Merry-Go-Round Restaurant and a 65 acre ski area
'.':'`'Y� expansion into the Olympic Bowl; and
WHEREAS, the Pitkin County Planning and Zoning Commission :
�;;"•�) granted a Commercial Gsowth Management Exemption for the restaur-

�'=�� ant expansion and recommended that the Board grant Speaial Review

,.;,�{ approval for both projects.
°;�� Now, therefore, be it further resolved by the Board that it
