RESOLUTION OF TAE PITKIN COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COM[ffISSIONERS
DENYING A REQIIEST FOR A GIIEST HOIISE FOR NORM CLASEN IN THE
RS-30 ZONE DISTRICT
Resolution No. 87-�
WHEREAS, the Pitkin County Board of County Commissioners
reviewed a request at a regular meeting on November 24,1987 by
Norm clasen for a guest house on a 35 acre parcel of land in the �?`7��"`�

RS-30 zone district, more specifically described in exhibit "A"; ;;,;:.

Wf�REAS, the Board determined that a guest house is a ;"� �

"dwelling unit" as defined in Section 20-1, for the purposes o£ �-;;'

interpretinq the "minimum lot area per dwell..ing unit" require- t'�" �

•� ment of Section 3-2; and

WHEREAS, the Board determined that the application did not
meet the basic area and bulk requirements of the Land Use Code
regarding acreage as specified above; and
WHEREAS, the Pitkin County Planning Commission reviewed the
request on October 2o,19s7 and made a recommendation of denial to

the Board based on the fact that the application did not meet the
basic area and bulk requirements of the land Use code and;
WHEREAS, the Board made the determination that a guest house '
requires the minimum lot size `acreage in the underlying zone
district; and
NOW, Tf�REFORE, BE TT RESOLVED that the Board does hereby t

deny the Clasen request for a guest house.
