ber, 1967, by the Couat of Pitkin ("Pitkia County"), through its
Director of Aviation to�lenwood Spring5 Ford Rent-A-Fdt("the Company"),
which offices at Pomegrdnd e nn , Aspea, Colorado.

WHSRBAS, the company ia engaged in the rental of automobiles -y ,
and/or four-whesl drive vehicles in the Aapen, Colorado vicinity, '-
but does not have a Usa end Lease Agreement with Pitkin County to ��!+.=� ��

the airport; and -

WHERSAS, the Campauy wishea for tha convenience oi its
customers to utilize the comaercial vehicle traffic loop to �-.'< .

County Airport is 3saued' by Pifkin County to the Company end �

" I. OPBRATIONS

� 1. The only operations which ehall be persitted i
by the Company at Pitkin Coubty Airport are:
� e. CuBtomer Pick iFv.. The�Company ahall be �
� perwitted to pick up customera by pri�or ' errangement on the j'
°� commercial traffic loop outaide the bagga8e pickup pod of the
terminal. Pickup ahall be aolely by meana of a commercial van or
.� lfmoueine clearly marked with the Company'a name and/or lago.
Accesa for suc6 pickups shaZl be through the courteay van-
� limousine designated lane on that loop. The Compaay's vans shell s
! not be permitted to park on the loop, but aay use tha Ioop only
� in response to a cell for pickup from a customer. Pickupe shall
� be made only in tha curb area deaignated for off-sirport courtesy
vane.
� b. Customer Dron-off. Customers who have � '�_i ,
returned their rented vehiclea to the Company's offiee and aho :'
� ere immediately departing by air carrier from Pitkia County ,, ;�`��.
� Airport may be dropped off at the Departurea pod of the tersinal y '

traffic cules generally in force in the departuree area ahall be
strictly observed by the Company's vans. Under no circumstances
sha21 the Company pick up arriving customers at the departure
loop.
2. Operations which shall not be permitted ,
include specifically, but are aot limited to, the following:
a. Solicitation, either in peraon or by �'":''�i''
written materials (other than those apeciYically approved by "
Pitkin Countyj, of cuatomera in the air carrier terminel or '�'����`"� !
anywhere on the premiaea of Pitkin County Airport. �'(�-";:"';;

contracts anywhere on the prenises of Pitkin County Airport. '

to pick up or drop off any rental vehic2e on the premisea of ;�;,..

aite enywhere on the pramises of Pitkin County Airport.
II. PAYMHNTS AND FSSS
`� 1. As a basic permit fee for the privi2eges
j granted hereunder, the Company aha11 pay to the County, in
advance, the monthly Yee of fifty doliara (530.�0). Said sum
, ahall be paid without demaud or invoice on tha first of each
month at the Pitkin County Fiaance Office, 530 Sast Main Street,
' Aapen, Colorado 81611, throughout the term of this permit.
; Z. Company shall also pay, under tDe regulationa
' end procedures estah7.ished from time to txme at Pitkin Counky
Airport, the per vehicle fee for each use of the commercial
itraffi.c loop at the terminal.
t III. STANDARDS �
j I. AI1 of Company's courteay vans ahall be kept
clean, well maintained and in good operating condition at all ,,�.-
times in pickinq up or dropping oYf cuatomers at Pitkin County _
Airport.

2. Company's van operetors shall be nest in
appearaace. courteous and shali carry current, valid and ap-
propriate motor vehicle operator certificates at all times, Said � �
operators aha12 be subject to all of the applicable operating -
rulea and regulations established for commercial vehicles at the �� :,` ,
Airport.

3. Company ehall maintain all insurance required
by law upon each of its veas operating at the Airport and ahali,
in addition, maintain public liability insurance coverage in an
amount no 1ess� than $1,OOQ,000 per peraoa, 52.000,000 per
incident. Said coverage shall name Pitkin Couaty as a co-insured
and Company shall instruct its insurer to provide Pitkin County .

4. Any violation by the Company or any of its ;t�.'��;'�":,*•`::
employeea of any of the terms or conditions of this Permit or of
any current applicable rule or regulation at Pitkin County f�`` `''
Airport shail be deemed a materisl default in the performance of `� ,

IV. TBRM OF PfiRMIT
1. This permit shall be in efYect from the dete ,
; hereof until such time as permanent regulations for the opera- �
;; tiona of off-airport rental car companies are estsblish at Pitkin �
County Airport, or until April 10, 1986, whichever first occura. � r•,

� intantion to noe binds Pitkin County ta iseue any longer term
operatiag permit as an off-airport rental car company. Company
agreea that it shall be aubject to permitting under established
regulatioas et that time under the same conditioas and considera- _
tione as Mrould apply to any other rental car company at that
� time.
