i. The Applicant,James Light,has requested that the Board of Counry Commissioners �"`•,
(hereafter`Board'),consider an Appeal to an Administradve decision. `�?'` �
2. The Applicants property is described as Traci D,McCabe Ranch Subdivision. ,..
3. The Applicant wishes to construct a single family residence with an acessory garage/bedroom . '

' • structure that would be attached to the main residence by an open air"breezeway". The Staff

�� determined that such an azchitectural design created two separate single family residences on
i' a lot which allows only one residence pursuant to County Land Use Code standards.
� ; 4. The Board heard testimony and evidence with regard to this application at thair regularly '

. ; , scheduled meeting on May 28,1997. �

i ° 5. T'he Board finds that the Staff determination is correct and that proposed design represents
� . � ' two single family residences.

' . NOW THEREFORE,be it resolved by the Pitkin County Boazd of County �='
� ' Commissioners that it hereby denies the Light Appeal of an Administrative Decision. Be it

� i ' further resolved by the Boazd that it hereby directs staff to consider the issue of design flexibility
in relation to Land Use Code Standards in future policy discussions.
