1. CRS 26-1-123 (3) (a) requires that County Social Services �,`_
i warrants be signed by one member of the Board of County Commissioners
I '�who shall be designated by resolution for that purpose .. ."
k 2. State Social Services forms also require the Chairman of the
' t Board's signature on forms authorizing Social Servicea expenditures.
3. By Reaolution #B3-10, as amended by Resolutions #87-21 and '�
#93-170, the Board of County Commissionera has delegated its authority
to approve certain contracts and expenditures, including those of
Social Services, to County department and section heads and the County -
manager.
4. CRS i1-55-101 et. seq. authorizes public officials to use
facsimile signatures in lieu of manual aignatures on a "check, draft,
warrant; or order for the payment, delivery, or transfer of funds."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNPY
COMMISSIONERS OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO, THAT:
1. Social Services warrants shall be signed by the Chairman of
' � � the Board of County Commisaioners and by the County Clerk and Recorder,
� both of whose signatures may be by facsimile as authorized by CRS 11-
' '`' S5-7.01 et. seq.
2. The Chairman of the Board�s facsimile signature may also be
used on State Social Services forms to indicate approval of Social
Servicea expenditures by the Board of County Commissioners pursuant
to Resolution #83-10, as amended, which delegates certain expenditure
— approvals to County department and section heads and the County '
manager.
