RECITALS
; WHEREAS, the Aspen-Pitkin Counry Emergency Telephone Service Authority has

•��� provided quality emergency telephone service since September 11, 199i to the
y citizens of our district; and
WHEAEAS, it has become necessary to increase the monthiy fee charged to tetephone
subscribers in order that the Aspen-Pitkin County Emergency Telephone Service meet
its current and future financiai obligations; and
WHEREAS, on May 31, 1990 the Govemor nf the State of Colorado signed House Bill
90-1104 which increased the amount of the charge that may be imposed for the
_ �.�b,`':�. provision of emergency telephone senrice; and

WHEREAS, it would serve the public weifare and be in the best interest of the citizens
within this jurisdiction to continue our participation in the organizaUon, administration
and common use of a central Emergency Telephone Service Authority;

-�` NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOWED by the Board of Directors of Aspen Ambulance
" ' District, that the Chairman is authorized to execute the revised Intergovernmental
Agreement cancerning the continued implementation of an "Enhanced 9-1-1"
emergency telephone senrice; and,
, '� 6E iT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Aspen-Pitkin County Emergency Telephone
Service Authority is authorized to impose an emergency telephone charge for those
areas within our furlsdiction for which emergency telephone service wi(t be provided,
which charge shall be in an amount not to exceed seveniy (70) cents per month. �;
