RECITALS• :
1. Pitkin County has applied for and received notice of
award of certain federal grant funds for the safety improvements to
CR-13 (Maroon Creek Roadj and CR-17 (Upper River Road); and
2. Pitkin County is desirous of making such improvements to
CR-13 (Maroon Creek Road) and CR-17 (Upper River Road} ; and
3. Pitkin County has budgeted the 1oca1 matching share {10%)
to provide for construction of the project in 1994. Funding
provided to project: local agency share (at lo�) $19,5Q0; federal �
� '� aid funds (at 90�) $135,000; total pxoject $154,500; and
"� 4. Pitkin County has undertaken the coordination of the
project design with all the affected agencies and interested �
organizations; and
5. Pitkin County shall execute a contract with the State of
` Colorado Department of Transportation spellinq out tex-ms,
-- = conditions, and contractual obligations for the receipt and
expenditure of grant funds.
