basis, the present Airport Rules and Regulations affecting the

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY

= Pitkin County Code (Airport Rules and Regulations) be amended

temporarily as follows:
Section 1.
'`Y;� This Amendment relates to general aviation operations
only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and certain
- designafed holiday periods and shall take effect �
':�:~:;?�' immediately upon adoption and expire at midnight, April
::�'�'! 17, 1988, or earlier if superceded by another Resolu-
tion of the Board.

For purposes of this Amendment, "General Aviation" ��
shall be defined to mean: All aircraft flight opera-
Y=i`� tions (aircraft arrivals and departuresj , except the ,
operations of schedu2ed Certificated Air Carriers and ��
aircraft operated by the United States of America.

A. No general aviation aircraft shall be permitted to
arrive at Sardy Field later than thirty (30) minutes '' .'

depart from Sardy Field up to two hours past curfew E
under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Instrument �
,� Flight Rules (IFR) only, and on Fridays, Saturdays and
Sundays only, through April 17, 1988, or earlier if
� superceded.
,' C. Any general aviation aircraft that departs from i
+ Sardy Field under the provisions of this amendment, may �
�� promptly return to Sardy Field if necessary in the
� event of an in-flight emergency. '�;:
D. The Director of Aviation may in his discretion i: .
�:;� grant similar general aviation departure relief for up �
;� to two hours after sunset upon the following high-
,,� traffic holiday periods:
' ,,� 1. The Wednesday preceding Thanksgiving Day.
� 2, Christmas Eve
