COUNTY AIRPORT CAPITAL IMPROVBMENTS

'' WHSRSAS, Pitkin County is the owner, operator and sponsor of '
�� V, the AspenJPitkin Coanty Airport (Sardy Field); and
,;V;E� WHfiRBAS, Pitkin County has undertaken to construct holding
:_:N apron, construct bypass taxiway, rehabilitate general aviation
't�=:�:.f apron, expand air carrier apron, and instal2 lighted taxiway

-,.:� guidance signs, aad has applied to the FAA for fundiag assist-
'`'�'��� ance• and

WHBREAS, the E'AA has made an offer of assistance through an
`�� AIP grant, which contains certain assurances by and obligations
�'"f3 of Pitkin County; and

:';.,�; WHBRSAS, Pitkin County has previously (or simultaneously)
budgeted and/or appropriated the grant local funding matching
�'"'�'� share;

- That the FAA offer of an AIP Grant No. 3-08-0003-OS in the
`� amount of $894,943 is hereby accepted, according to the AIP grant
����� offer (including grant assurances) attached hereto as fixhibit "A"
.�ti;'; and incorporated herein by this reYerence.
'Ja.� Further, that the Chair is hereby authorized and directed to

:_�..�' execute the AIP Grant Offer on behalf of the County and any other
'.:�'� documents necessary to complete the traasaction, subject to `?
='r" recommendetion for approval by the Director of Aviation and
� 'Y•� approval as to form by the County Attorney.
