APPROVZNG AN AMENDMENT TO THE INTERGOVERNASENTAL
AGREEMENT WITH TFIE CITY OF ASPEN �

. WSEREAB, by resolution No. 83-3 this Board approved and Pitkin �`:;�;'
� � County entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement ('�the i '
; 's Agreement") dated January 9, 1984, with the City of Aspen creating j ' '
.T'.� a multijurisdictional Housing Authority under the provisions of
C.R.S. 1973, Section 24-1-203 et. sea• which authority is knowr� as t"
the Aspen/Pitkin County Housing Authority ("the Authority"); and �;; :.
WSEREAB, the referenced Agreement is unclear as to the rights �
and obligations of the parties thereto upon termination of the �
Y^ Agreement in the event that the Authority has issued bonded �.
�;. indebtedness, and the Board wishes to amend the Agreement in order
to eliminate that ambiguity; � .`
.(r` NOW, THEREFOREo BE IT RB80L'VED that the Chainnan i.s hereby �
authorized and directed to execute, on behalf af the Board and
- Pitkin County an amendment to the Agreement, amending Section VIII
thereof to read as fallows: `
��-�' The term of this agreement shall be January 1, 1984,
'b' through December 31, 1984 and shall automatically be
renewed for successive one-year periods thereafter upon
" the approval of the annual budget for such year by the
= City Council and the Soard of Caunty Comaiissioners. ,
"' Either party hereto may terminate ttzis Agreement for any
�'�'� reason upon ninety (90) days� written notice� provided,
_ however, that this Agreement may not be terminated or
'�= rescinded so long as the Anthority has bonds, notes, or
other obligations outstanding, unless provisions for full
payment of such obligations, by escrow or otherwise, has
_ been made pursuant to the terms of such abligations. '
