RESOLUTION BY THE BOAAD OF COUNTY COMM2SSIONERS
OF PITKIN COUNTY COLORADO �•:.-
APPROVING AND ADOPTING A CONTRACT WITH �'
THE FIRM OF BANNER ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR DESIGN AND PROJECT
ADMINISTRATION CONSULTING SERVICES FOR REPLACEMENT OF STRUCTURE
PIT-008-00.1 WATSON DIVIDE BRIDGE �,�'.

- WHEREAS, the Colorado Highway Commission in conjunction with �z
the Special Committee of Colorado Counties Inc. has allocated �
funds from the Special Bridge Fund Account in the Sum of $173,600
as the 80� share of the structure replacement project PIT-008-
_ ` :
-;� 00.1; and
'� ' WHEREAS, the Board of County CommissioneTS of Pitkin County, �
��
., which has the statutory authority to mafntain County roads and
"?-�� bridges, has determined that it is in the best interest of the
citizens of Pitkin County to repair or replace the above

referenced structure; and
`�'�.�'� WIiEREAS, the Consultant seZection process was held in _
,,�� accordance with the Pitkin County Procurement Code and local and
state laws and regulation, and the Firm of Banner Associates,
��.
Inc. of Grand Junction was selected; and

WHEREAS, the County has statutory authority pursuant to,
�-� inter alia, 1973 C.R.S. 43-2-207, 43-2-208, and 43-2-144 to
,�. expend funds for the replacement of County Bxidges and to
��_;I contract with Banner Associates, Inc. for desiqn and project
administration consulting services for the repair or replacement -.
of the previously mehtioned County structure;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado:

That the contract between the County and Banner Associates, 'r
Inc. contains the terms condition and limitations for the �
Engineering Design and Project Administration Consulting Service � '
for the structure PIT-008-00.1 Watson Divide Bridge is hereby
approved and adopted and the Chairperson is hereby authorized and �._;.;�.;
=� directed to execute the Contract and such other documents as may � ti ;
be necessary. : ..�_•

� The Asset Management Section is hereby authorized to expend �
•� up to $15,860 to complete this contract subject to such further ��:' ,
+� design, project administration and contract services as may be
