COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLARADO,
COMMENDING DEPUTY CJ HOWARD
FOR EXEMPLARY ACTION ZN THE LTNE OF DUTY

'• WHEREAS, on December 11, 1989, Deputy John Sobieralski ��� .-
arrived at the scene of an apparent one-car accident, and ��<r'�==
WfIEREAS, when Deputy Sobieralski investigated the $aene of �
",� the accident, he was assaulted with deadly force by one of the
' w vehicle's occupants, and �"r-�
�^'� WHEREAS, Deputy CJ Howard participated in the search for and `°
arrest of Deputy Sobieralski's attacker at great personal risk, �

�;� WHEREAS, Deputy Howard was able to show great restraint and !
�'-� courage during this incident thus preventing injury to citizens, ;;'

�`•%t'� NOW, TFFEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY � �
