� COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLARADO,
t COMMENDING DEPUTY TOM GRADY
FOR EXEMPLARY ACTION IN THE LINE OF DUTY �':

WHEREAS, on December 11, 1989, Deputy John Sobieralski �""
arrived at the scene of an apparent one-car accident, and ��

� WHEREAS, when Deputy Sobieralski investigated the scene of �;'.'
=;;�-i^ the accident, he was assaulted with deadly force by one of the �-..,.
' vehicle's occupants, and
Y � WHEREAS, Deputy Tom Grady participated in the search for and
f� arrest of Deputy Sobieralski's attacker at great personal risk,

,. x� WHEREAS, Deputy Grady was able to show great restraint and � �
" a' courage during this incident thus preventing injury to citizens,
officers and the suspect;
