RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO, ESTABLISHING THE SIZE OF THE
PITKIN COUNTY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
Resolution No. 90 -
Recitals
1. The Pitkin County Planning and zoning commission is
established and maintained pursuant to Article Three (3) of the
Pitkin County Home Rule Charter.
2. Pursuant to C.R.S. 30-28-103, a Planning commission
shall consist of not less than three (3) nor more than (9)
members, all of whom must be residents of the County. The terms
shall be for three (3) years and shall be staggered so that one
third (1/3) of the membership expires each year.
3. The Planning and zoning commission currently consists of
5 regular members and 5 alternates.
4. The Board believes that there will be a greater
representation of the citizens of Pitkin County if there are 7
regular members and 2 alternates.
5. The appointment of a 7 member board as described above
shall be an an experimental basis for a one year period of time.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado that the Pitkin County
Planning and Zoning commission shall consist of 7 regular voting
members and 2 alternates. The 7 member board shall be on an
experimental basis for a one year period of time.

Further, the terms of the additional Planning & Zoning
Commission members created by this resolution shall expire in
March, 1991 unless the 7 member Board is continued past the one
year experiment in which case the additional member terms shall
expire in March, 1992. The previously existing five Planning &
Zoning Commission members terms shall remain the same, expiring
as follows: two in March of 1990, two in March of 1991, and one
in March of 1992.

County, Colorado at its regular meeting on January 23, 1990.
