RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE
PITKIN COUNTY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
Resolution No. 90-9—
Recitals
1. The Pitkin County Planning and Zoning Commission is
established pursuant to Article Three (3) of the Home Rule
Charter; and
2. A uniform system for the appointment of members to all
citizen advisory boards has been established;
3. The Pitkin County Planning and Zoning Commission is
currently short three (3) regular voting members below its 7
person authorized membership; and
4. The Board of County Commissioners has seriously
considered all of the 5 current alternate members for regular
membership on the Pitkin County Planning and Zoning Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado that alternate members
Mr. James Breasted, Mr. Dwight Shellman, and Mr. Steven Whipple
are hereby appointed as regular members to the Planning and
Zoning Commission and that alternate members Mr. Bill Ball and
Mr. Tom Lankering are re -appointed as alternate members of the
Planning and Zoning Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the term of the
above-named appointees will be for a period of 1 year from the

date of this Resolution, at which time the BOCC will reconsider
the 7 member Commission to determine if a 7 member Commission is
more or less effective than a 5 member Commission.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED by the Board that in February, 1991
all or 1 of the above-named appointees will be named to extended
terms as a regular or alternate member of the Planning and Zoning
Commission as called for by statue.
APPROVED by the Board at its regular meeting on February 13,
1990.
