� COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PITKIN COUNTY, COIARADO
REQUESTING ASSISTANCE FROM THE ' ' '
COIARADO DIVISION OF AVIATION
AS REQUIRED IN C.R.S. 28-6-103 (5) -
Resolution 91 - �� �r ..
WHEREAS, Pitkin County is owner, operator and sponsor of the `',;f` �
Aspen-Pitkin County Airport (Sardy Field), a public use airport;
and
� WKEREAS, Pitkin County desires to obtain assistance from the
Colorado Division of Aviation for the purpose of developing,
;;�
maintaining, and improving the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport; and
� WHEREAS, The Division of Aviation was created to support the �
r
';� Colarado Aeronautical Board, carrying out said responsibilities
; including, "providing advisory assistance to airports providing
'"� access to the public, including technical and planning assistance". �:'
* (C.R.S. 28-6-103(d); and

WHEREAS, "The Division is authorized to assist only those
airports which request assistance by means of a resolution passed
� by the governing board of the airport and forwarded to the .
Division". (C.R.S. 28-6-103(5). .
�', NOW, THEREFORE, SE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
. ,� COMMISSIONERS OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO: i�

• Section 1.
The Pitkin County Board of County Commissioners, acting on
,j behalf of the aviation institution under its jurisdiction, do
`�� hereby formally request assistance from the Colorado Aeronautical
,;� Board and Division of Aviation in matters pertaining to airport
�r,;� development, maintenance and improvement; matters pertaining to
.� safe operations in airport areas; and matters contributing to the
enhancement of the aviation system for the State of Colorado, as
prove necessary for the improvement of aviation activities.
'.',} That the Pitkin County Board of County Commissioners, acting ; •
1 on behalf of the aviation institution under its jurisdiction do
, ;_,� hereby formally agree to accept technical assistance and/or funds
provided by the Colorado Aeronautical Board and Division of !
Aviation for completion of pre-determined projects as mutually ��

sign this resolution on behalf of the County, and any other
documents necessary to complete the transaction, subject to
recommendation for approval by the County Manager and Director of
