, WHEREAB, Rocky Mountain Natural Gas (hereinafter "Applicant"j
. ''_;�J; has applied to Pitkin County to construct a natural gas pipeline

;'.�=�;.�3 pursuant to Section 5-400 and Articles 2 and 5 of the Land Use Code •

-_.- across property which is shown on the 1041 Hazard Review map
; recorded at Book � Page �_ in the office of the Clerk and

RHEREAB, the proposed 3.5 mile natural gas pipeline alignment
�;�;�,.� will cross mapped Floodplain and Wildlife "1041" Hazard areas; and
�; ..�4 WHEREAB, the proposed pipeline crosses mostly hay fields, but

¢ crosses under the river bed of the Roaring Fork River and through

WHEREAB, the Board found that the Applicant's request met the
requirements of the Land IIse Code and that the proposal will have ��"
a minimal impact on the surrounding environment. ��: ,
NOW, THEREFORE SE IT REBOi,VED by the Soard of County
_. Commissioners that it hereby grants 1041 Hazard Review approval to
; Rocky Mountain Natural Gas for the construction of a new gas line
"z� as shown on the 1041 HaZard Review map recorded at Book o2� Page
'��`� �_ in the office of the Clerk and Recorder and subject to the
.r.� 4
" .=:?� following conditions: �`

•�=-:i 1. The applicant shall file a 1041 Hazard Review Map for
Planning and 2oning Coaumission's chairman's signature,
,� prior to issuance of a building permit.
��.� 2. The applicant shall apply for and receive a Floodplain
; Development Permit from the County Engineer ahd Planning
�•:; office, prior to issuance of an excavation permit.
��;'M� 3. The applicant shall restrict the disturbed area within �
' ;'� riparian vegetation to no more than 25 feet.
'X ! 4. The applicant will coordinate with the irrigators of the
���; various ditches, prior to disruption of water service in
• the ditch.
`��`-'� 5. The applicant shall initially try to bore under Highway
:'�;=� 82, private driveways and irrigation ditches, to lay the
��;� pipeline, prior to surface disturbance of these areas.
�'�.� The applicant is to assume all costs associated with .
repavinq if the surfaaes of these areas are disturbed.
6. The applicant shall begin revegetation of the disturbed
, riparian vegetation immediately after the installation
- of the pipeline. Revegetation methods are more
- specifically detailed in the Floodplain Development
Permit.
„,-'��!', 7. All material representations made by the applicant in the �
�i' _j application and public meeting shall be adhered to and '
:�;� considered conditions of approval, unless otherwise
�-T,� amended by other conditions.
