� WHEREAS, there are traffic flow and highway safety problems ' ' �`��� �
at the intersection of State Highway 62 and the Aspen Airport �

Business Center; and r
WHEREAS, in order to create a more effective flow of traffic,
the installation of traffic lights at this intersection would be j � ,
� only a short term and less effective solution; and i':.� '

j WHEREAS, a grade separation would achieve a safer traffic flow i s;
at this intersection, ��'

NOW TFIEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado that the Board sup�orts � ,��.
the construction of a grade separation at the intersection of State � '
Aighway 82 and the Aspen Airport Business Center. �.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners �'
requests that the Colorado Department of Transportation include in i'•
~i their Environmental Impact Statement planning for construction of �
such a grade separation, with the proposed CDOT safety grant, H
� r instead of installation of a traffic light. ( '
