County's tax limitation to allow not only new construction to '
increase property tax but also an inflation factor to be determined '°�
as the lesser of (1) the increase in the Consumer Price Index or xx

� ., WHEREAS, th@ inczease over the October 1990 Consumer Price 1A-�,.
Index (U.S. City Average, All Urban Consumers) was 2.9 $ while the
:� state limits increases to no more than 5.5 �; and •�
! WHEREAS, the 2.9 � inflation Pactor is the lesser of the two !'•
` choices and was incorporated into the Pitkin County mill levies �;
reported below, excluding debt; and
� WHEREAS, the 1991 valuation of assessment, as certified by the `,
� County Assessor, and the amount of money necessary to balance the �
�;= budget for each county fund are listed in the following table; t
� NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
- •t Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado, that for the purpose of �'
� balancing the 1992 budget, the following taxes are herehy levied � �
